If you want to step up your look, the best way is to go bold and glitter with your makeup. The glitter came back strong, and glitter eyeshadow is the ideal tool to add this style into your look. But, incorporating glitter eyeshadow can be challenging. With that in mind, we will show you how to do it according to makeup professionals.
Glitter instantly magnifies any eye by reflecting the light and collecting the natural shades that cover your iris. Fortunately, even though it seems messy and hard to control, it's super easy to create the perfect look using the right products and techniques. The process is only five steps and takes a couple of minutes, so let's begin if you are ready.
Step 1 Materials
The first step is to gather all the materials you need.
Cotton pads such as PYUNKANG YUL 1/3 Cotton Pad are designed to apply liquid solutions to your skin. These cotton pads will help you be more efficient.
Use a hairband to hold your hair away from the face and eyes. Our favorite one is ETUDE HOUSE My Beauty Tool Lovely Etti Hair Band. This hairband feels soft and stretchy, capable of adapting to any head shape or size. Besides, it has a cute, graceful kitty-cat design.
Try a liquid eyeshadow that incorporates sparkle and twinkle to your eyes. A liquid eyeshadow will add fun and glam to your makeup look. This water-based formula glides over your eyelids smoothly and has zero falls out.
We recommend using a primer such as INNISFREE No-Sebum Blur Primer to your lids before applying these liquid shadows if you want to make them last all day.
These liquid eyeshadows can be used alone or in conjunction with a powder shadow such as ETUDE HOUSE Look At My Eyes to add sparkle and glitter to your eyelids.
A Setting Powder
Use a setting powder such as INNISFREE No-Sebum Mineral Powder to set up your makeup, giving you a perfectly smooth finish that lasts 4-5 hours.
Step 2 Start By Applying A Primer
Start the application process by applying INNISFREE No-Sebum Blur Primer. The primer will help give the liquid eyeshadow the consistency to spread smoothly, helping it glide across the eye when you go to apply the glitter. Besides, the primer allows the makeup to last longer.
We recommend using a cotton pad instead of your fingers to apply the primer as it is more comfortable. Don't forget to have more places to clean up the look later.
Step 3 Add Glitter To Your Eyelid
For creating the perfect glitter look, you need to keep the pigment closer to the eyelash line, or if you prefer, you can cover your entire eyelid in glitter.
If you choose to create an eyeliner look, touch the glitter onto your eye using tapping motions with the cotton pad, moving carefully across your eyelash line.
For the entire eyelid, use a circular motion to move the shadow in an upward motion from the eyelash line to your eyelid's crease. Using a circular motion allows you to distribute the pigment across your eyelid.
Step 4 Remove Any Excess
Once you have your glitter eye look, it's time to remove any excess or clumped glitter using a clean cotton pad; just move anywhere that's unevenly concentrated.
Don't forget to remove any remainings from under your eyes and on your cheeks. If there is any residue in your skin, go over the area with BANILA CO Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm - Purifying to remove stubborn face and eye makeup quickly.
Step 5 Apply Setting Powder
Finally, carefully apply to your eyelids INNISFREE No-Sebum Mineral Powder to set up your glitter look. Make sure to have your eyes close to avoid contact and irritation in your eyes.
The primary goal of setting powders is to keep everything looking flawless for as long as possible. Believe us, it will become your favorite tool in your makeup arsenal.
