Kpop Idols Tips For Beautiful Skin

For both male and female Kpop Idols, perfect, glass-like skin is a trademark accessory, and they're all open about the effort they put into making their skin look good.

Here's a few tips from idols themselves about what they recommend for taking care of your skin.

1. Hydration is key, especially whilst travelling!

Travelling is notorious for dehydrating and drying out skin. BTS' Jimin says, "I don't really do anything extra special for my skin on the plane, but I try to drink as much water as possible".

2. Cleanse, cleanse, cleanse!

NCT's Taeyong swears by it! Before his debut, he apparently didn't care much about keeping a regular skincare routine. However, now that he often wears stage make-up, he's taken to making sure he thoroughly cleanses his face every single day. He's said that he finds the routine therapeutic too.

 3. The application process definitely matters.

MONSTA X say it's not only about the products themselves, but how you apply them onto your face. Kihyun is a fan of patting his products on, but IM prefers a good, solid slapping motion!

4. Seriously, don't forget about hydration.

BTS' Jin recommends sheet masks in order to keep your skin moisturised and hydrated. Considering BTS have a line of masks with Mediheal, this isn't surprising. Jin said: "I try to put them on whenever I feel my skin is dry and exposed too much to the sun. They help me make up for lost moisture and brighten my skin".

5. If your skin is good, your makeup will look good.

KARD's Somin has said, "In order for our makeup to look good, taking care of the foundation of your skin is very important. When you put on makeup, it's two times better than if you have bad skin. It's twice as effective".

BM also said that it's all about moisturising with sheet masks twice a week and using lotion.

6. Love your skin whilst you sleep!

TWICE member Nayeon recommends sleeping with lip balm on if you have dry lips. In a V Live where she showed fans her skincare routine, she advised putting it on before bed, saying: "Your lips will be perfect the next morning".
